He found it at a local thrift store and of course instantly thought of me!
Because, arrows – duh!
But as you can see it super rusted out and the vase was a not-so-cute brown color.
What I used: Black matte Rustoleum spray paint, newspaper, and sand paper
I laid the newspaper out, sanded down the rusty base and spray painted until it was fully covered – which took about 2 coats. Let it dry for 1 hour and add another coat.
I chose to put a succulent type plant in this vase because it needs very little care – just some sun and water once a week. To help with not over watering I put about 1 inch of rocks on the bottom of the vase. Then transferred the succulent from the original pot into my little pot.
Transferring the plant is super simple. Turn the plant upside down and shakeout out into your hand. If the soil is dry enough it should slide right out! Be super careful about the roots!
I am a huge fan of succulents and when I saw this one with some blooms on it, I just had to have it! It’s called a Baby Sun Rose and I found it at my local Farmer’s Market.
How adorable?! I am going to have mine outside on my front porch!
