I have a serious problem!! I am addicted to coffee. I feel like I have zero self control when it comes to coffee shops. This week I managed to spend $7 on two coffees. Starbucks gets me every time..
As you know I took on 31 days of no spending! <- Original post
I had another hiccup. whats wrong with me?! what am I actually learning from this?! I went out with friends on Friday night and spent $14. Shoot.
However, I have managed to save another $400! Normally, I put all of my excess money in my savings and usually have to pull out money to pay for some impulse buys. Last week I put all my excess money in and did not pull out a single penny! That’s such a good feeling! Also, this puts me at $600 saved and only $200 away from my original goal of $800.
What helps me the most is planning my lunches and dinners for the week. That way I don’t have to waste any extra money on a quick $10 meal. I’d like to say I meal prep on Sundays and get it all ready for the week, but I actually prep for the following day the night before ( I’ll work on that ).
This weeks focus will be to use the food I already have in my pantry! I haven’t been doing this as much as I should.
Hopefully I can avoid coffee shops this week……maybe… probably not.
