What is really better than going to Disney? Going to Disney in the Fall! This year I was able to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I have lived in Florida my entire life and have never been to this event before now. This is a special ticketed event in Magic Kingdom happening on select nights through October 31st from 7pm to midnight. Think trick-or-treating, Halloween decor (Mickey style), and lots of new Halloween inspired treats.
Jose and I are major Disney fans, as you know. By now, we know Disney like the back of our hand! This event adds a whole new dimension to Disney and I’m excited to have finally gone! We like to keep going to Disney as simple as possible, so here is what to expect, what we ate and how we ended the night!
What to expect:
The party allows you to trick-or-treat throughout the park while enjoying the normal Disney activities. However, this year, they have brought in a few new additions.
You can enjoy things like, Trick-or-treating throughout the park (Jose and I were so excited LOL). When you enter the even you are given a bag and lots of treats when you pass through each designated treat station. It’s the good stuff, too! Like my favorite, Milky Way.
For the new experiences you can h ead to the Mad Tea Party to see the new lighting and effects during the spin. Pirates of the Caribbean brought in “Gunpowder Pete”, while Space Mountain has a whole new soundtrack.
Costumes are aloud, and you will see the Disney Characters dressed up in costumes too. It’s so cute to see when you’re used to going there and seeing them normal.
It’s not often that I go to the parks when it’s dark out. So to see Disney at night, which the fall/Halloween decorations is an event in itself.
What to eat:
There are a few new treats for this event throughout the park – from sweet to savory.
Starting with dinner, you can grab a Muenster Smash and end with a Candy Corn Milkshake a Maleficent Dessert and more throughout the park.
Seeing all of the desserts they bring out for this specifically, is the cutest thing in the world.
End your Night:
End the night with the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, which is lead by the headless horseman. It’s honestly amazing to watch – Disney puts on such an amazing show.
Thank you SO much to Disney for inviting me out to experience Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
