Thank you Dove for sponsoring this post. Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner works to repair hair and stop 90% of damage before it happens!
Let’s talk a little bit about hair products, specifically Dove. If you saw on twitter the other day, my shower is literally covered in their skin and hair products. That is because. they have the best formula for my dry scalp and once I find something that works, I don’t give up on it easily.
Therefore, I was particularly excited to try the Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. For years, my hairstylist Marcia has been coloring my hair. It started with a deep red, back to brown and now have slowly worked its way to this amazing balyage blonde. Then you add heat styling and overall stress of styling on your hair and you have a head of hair that needs special attention.
On top of all that, it’s summer! Which means tons of beach days and wind blown, salty hair. Not that those things do damage, rather they make a bees nest when your hair isn’t properly nourished (I have a ton of experience in that department). So, to combat further damage I’m using the Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo & Conditioner. It works to repair hair and stop 90% of hair damage before it happens!
Maintain Healthy Hair All Summer:
Vitamins: you didn’t think I wouldn’t put this here, did you? I’m obsessed with vitamins – they are essential in my beauty routine and go with me everywhere. I take vitamins that contain biotin and fish oil, which target your hair. They also have benefits for your skin and nails so it’s a win win and MUST in my book.
Limit how many times you wash your hair: I am guilty of washing my hair once a week. Ok, maybe not guilty. I only wash my hair once a week because I don’t have an oily scalp. I actually have a very dry scalp and a ton of hair. I have also always found that in my scalp, the more I wash the dryer it gets. I have always taken that as the products are stripping my hair (but, I’m no pro!).
Air dry your hair: As I said before, heat styling can do a number on your hair. Because my hairstylist also lightens my hair each time I see her, I try to do as little as possible to upset it. If I don’t need to dry my hair in a hurry, I’m airdrying that baby!
Use the correct hair products: & this starts in the shower. Insert the Dove Insensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. Now, I wouldn’t call my hair damaged. In fact, I think Marcia takes really good care of it. However, I am a fan of preventing any damage. These two products smell amazing and make my hair feel just as amazing.
