This blog post has been brewing for quite some time. I was born and raised in Florida, so SPF has always been prominent in my life. BUT! When I was younger I got a pretty nasty burn on my shoulders from a day out in the sun – like blisters and legit burns. So, since then I take my tanning and sun care very serious.
Also, lets be real. The sun ages you like crazy. I’m trying to do everything in my power to keep my skin young and fresh.
The beach and pool are where I go to decompress, so I had to find a solution to using tanning oils (because they are SO hydrating) so that I can tan without burning. Using SPF in my face products is also essential. Just walking from my car to the house sometimes I feel like my face i burning in the sun LOL. No, but seriously.
I have taken quite some times to perfect my SPF routine and find the products I can’t live without. I look for products with good ingredients, have a great smell and is ultimately hydrating.

How I Tan Without Burning:
Step 1: Never leave the house without SPF on my face. If it’s a day at the beach/pool I alternate between Coola Face Sport and Supergoop 2-n-1 Perfect Day as a base SPF. Then I layer on the Coola Rosilliance BB Cream. If that doesn’t make your skin look AMAZING, idk what will.
Step 2: I once read that all you need to get some color is 15 minutes in the sun. So, my take on that means I lather my body up with Bali Body Watermelon Oil and lay out for 15 minutes on each side.
Step 3: After 15 minutes I lay on the SPF 50. My go-to product is the Supergoop Sunscreen Mouse in SPF 50. First of all, it’s just fun to squeeze into your hand. Second, it’s EXTREMELY hydrating!
