Let’s talk about getting creative! How do you get your juices flowing? What powers you through your creative sessions? Wether you’re creating content for your business, getting ready for a styled party or just crafting for fun. What keeps you focused? The one thing that gets my creative juices flowing is coffee! Like, lots and lots of coffee.
This time I’m trying out the new Starbucks® Caffè Latte K-Cup® Pods ! They come in flavors from vanilla, caramel, mocha and even seasonal flavors like pumpkin. So, if you find the pumpkin flavor can you over night them to me?!?! I’m obsessed! These k-cups® are different than your average k-cups®. There is a 2 step process to get the most flavor possible! I love that I don’t have to add anything to these. Keep reading for the instructions and a fun DIY!
Get you creative juices flowing with Starbucks® Caffè Latte K-Cup® Pods:
We have a very easy two step process to make the perfect cup! First, pour the contents of the “step 1” package into your cup.
Next, place your k-cup® into the Keurig® and press the button for 8 oz. of water. Smell those smells and prepare to create !
Stir, enjoy and get the creative juices flowing! I’ve tried the vanilla, caramel and mocha and they are all delish! They are made from milk and no artificial flavors!
You can buy them online here or at your local grocery store in the coffee aisle!
Now that we have our coffee, our creative juices must be flowing! Let’s get into a fun DIY and celebration!
DIY Easel!
What you need
Saw
7 pieces of wood
Sand Paper
Clamp
Drill
2 Machine Screws
2 Wing Nuts
Staple Gun
Pencil
First, gather your 7 pieces of wood, sand paper & a pencil. For reference, you can draw a diagonal line across the tip of the pieces of wood. Otherwise, begin to sand down the sides of the wood, until you get a diagonal line. Repeat to 4 pieces all together.
Next, use your wood clamp to clamp 2 of the sanded pieces and 1 of the un-sanded pieces. Pictured below.
Using a 1/8th drill bit drill directly through all three pieces. The drill bit should be big enough to make a hole for your desired screw. In my case it was 1/8th
Once you’ve made a hole, take your machine screw and insert it in just the beginning. Use your drill to screw it through all three. The pieces of wood will naturally create a triangle.
Add your wingnut to the end and tighten.
Now it’s time for the big boy tools. We will need a saw and a staple gun. Cut a piece of wood directly in half creating the pieces you will mount to hold your creations!
This part I eyeballed, I looked at the height I wanted and went from there. Once you have your perfect level, add one staple into the back side of the legs.
Wallah! You’re ready to enjoy to enjoy your easels, drink coffee and get creative with friends!
We got straight to celebrating with our coffee, water colors, DIY easels and food!
How do you guys get your creative juices flowing? I would love to know in the comments below!
